Friendly Visiting

Open to adults.  Volunteers visit with a Senior to build a relationship through games, handcrafts and especially, conversation.  Visits are typically once per week, forty-five to sixty minutes long.

Telephone Reassurance

Open to adults and college students.  Volunteers will develop a rapport and friendship, by regularly calling a Senior.  Telephone Reassurance is an excellent opportunity for volunteers with transportation or mobility issues.

Religious Outreach

Open to adults, college, high school and middle school students, and families.  Volunteers participate in a monthly Shabbat and other holiday services, at area Adult Residential Communities.  Come join us, in fulfilling this noble goal.

Administrative Assistance

Perhaps your talents lie in the area of organization?  The Raleigh-Cary Jewish Federation, Jewish Community Center and Jewish Family Services welcome your help.  Our Jewish community agencies periodically need assistance with filing, mailings, data entry and phone work.  Come put your talent to good use!

Community Service

Open to all volunteers desiring to give back to the community through mitzvot, but needing flexibility of schedule.  Opportunities like baking and/or delivering Chanukah, Pesach or Purim treats, as well as support for special events or programs, will be included here.

Welcome Committee

Would you like to be involved in welcoming new Jews to the Raleigh-Cary area? This is the perfect opportunity to show off your knowledge of the city and its many assets.

Transportation

Do you enjoy driving and meeting new people?  Do you also possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record?  Then we need you!  Our community has a need for volunteers who can drive Seniors to services, Jewish community sponsored social events, medical appointments, etc.
