You always knew this day will come… you day-dreamed about what you’ll do, where you’ll travel, and yet now, when your children are all grown up, you find yourself feeling… confused? Sad?
Although you might actively encourage your children to become independent, the experience of letting go can be painful, and becoming an Empty Nester comes with mixed emotions. There are many things you can do during this transition to make it an easier one, take care of your emotional health and become a happy Empty Nester.
During our time together, Limor Schwartz, MSW, LCSW, JFS Director of Clinical & Social Services During will discuss how to prepare for the transition and how the range of emotions that come with becoming an Empty Nester can be shifted from sadness, grief and loss, to excitement and celebration of what’s to come.
Registration is required by 10/15. For any questions, please contact JFS Program Coordinator, Debbie Ross, at 919-676-2200 ext 129 or email Debbie.Ross@shalomraleigh.org
