CREATING A GREAT PLACE FOR JEWISH LIFE

Wake County has become a great place for Jews to come and live and thrive. It’s been a long time in the making and now the David R. Kahn Community Campus is open, adding another important dimension to the beauty of Jewish life here in the Triangle.

Now is an exciting time for our Jewish Community as we embark on a new chapter intended to strengthen our community for generations to come.

Visionaries of a Jewish Community Campus first purchased land for our campus more than 25 years ago, at Norwood and Old Creedmoor Roads. Thanks to the thoughtful contributions of the many families and individuals in our community, we now offer refreshed facilities in an idyllic park-like setting.

Our athletic fields and sports pavilion are ready for action.  Each competition-quality athletic field measures 54,250 square feet - that's a total of 2 1/2 acres of state-of-the art playing fields.  Our deluxe covered sports pavilion features two full-sized courts surrounded by various court-side games.  Courts can be used for basketball, tennis, volleyball and pickleball and have bleacher seating, bathrooms and climate control with cooling fans. Our pool and The Steven N. Guld Family Center have been significantly updated.

Future plans for our Campus include the Israel Center, new office space, meetings rooms, and convening spaces for large and small events, lectures, movies, and conference meetings. We're also looking forward to new walking trails, planting a sustainable community garden, constructing a free PJ Library little library and installing a bevy of benches and picnic tables to relax while overlooking the Campus’s pond.

The David R. Kahn Community Campus will be a Jewish place, serving as a central meeting place for diverse communities seeking recreation, fitness and wellness, educational and cultural programs and so much more. It is all about creating the environment of a vibrant Jewish neighborhood where Jews of all ages, affiliations, and beliefs can enhance the quality of their lives here in Wake County. No matter where you are in your Jewish Journey, you will find meaningful ways to add joy, meaning and new connections to family life at the campus.
