WOMEN'S PHILANTHROPY

Through Women’s Philanthropy’s engaging events, acts of service and meaningful gifts, there is no limit to what we can do. Together as women, we harness our collective power to care for the most vulnerable populations, strengthen our Jewish community, inspire our next generation, and empower our families and friends to change the world.

Lions of Judah

The Lions of Judah are the most dynamic philanthropic Jewish women in the world.

The Lions are strong women of all ages, an international sisterhood of thousands of global activists who care deeply about the Jewish future.

Lions of Judah play a vital role in creating social justice, aiding the vulnerable, preserving human dignity and building Jewish identity.

They demonstrate our dedication to the Jewish community by contributing of their time and resources. Each woman makes an annual donation to the Jewish Federation that sets an exemplary standard of leadership and giving. Lions of Judah play a vital role in creating social justice, aiding the vulnerable, preserving human dignity and building Jewish identity.

Lions of Judah set an exemplary standard of leadership and giving to the Jewish community by contributing our time and resources. Each year that a woman sustains or increases her minimum $5,000 gift to Jewish Federation of Raleigh-Cary’s Annual Campaign, she is eligible to have a small diamond set into the pin.

Pomegranates

The Pomegranate Society is for women who want to make a difference in our community, in Israel, and in Jewish communities worldwide.

Pomegranates are women who want to feel connected through networking, volunteering, events, education, and philanthropy. They are women who nurture, sustain, and plant the seeds for the next generation of Jewish leaders. Federation’s Pomegranates are critical to the future of our community. Pomegranates are a group of inspiring women who, just like you, want to practice Tikkum Olam in a meaningful way.

Our Pomegranates join in sisterhood with our young women in the Pearl Society and our Lions of Judah. Women giving $1,000-$3,600 are invited to join the Pomegranate Society and be recognized for their generous support of our community.

We focus on community service and deepening the connection of young women to their Jewish identity and the legacy of Tzedakah. Want to get involved? Contact Mindy Haas at 919-676-2200.

Jewish Women's Foundation

Founded in 2003, the Jewish Women's Foundation provides support and resources to under-served Jewish women and children through the award of grants to organizations that serve them. Since it was founded, JWF has granted more than $180,000 to a wide range of local Jewish programs.  Donations to JWF serve to strengthen the fabric of our Jewish community.

We are 100% volunteer driven, and 100% of the donations go to local Jewish organizations for programs that support under-served women and children. If you'd like to get involved, contact the Jewish Women's Foundation.
