Addressing Antisemitism, Hate, and Bullying in Schools: A Guide for Parents

At the Jewish Federation of Greater Raleigh, we are committed to fostering equity, inclusion, and respect for all people. Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) is also committed to the same ideals and to working with community partners like our Jewish Federation, which has collaborated constructively with WCPSS for years on important issues, such as the school calendar. It is critical that parents and students understand available resources and policies to address incidents of antisemitism, hate, and bullying. Concerns often arise around holiday observances, particularly during the Christmas season, for parents of younger students in kindergarten and first grade. Constructive engagement between parents and teachers is essential to increasing understanding and resolving such issues effectively.

In consultation with WCPSS, our Jewish Federation has created “Addressing Antisemitism, Hate, and Bullying in Schools,” a guide for parents on addressing antisemitic incidents in public school.
