Addressing Antisemitism: A New Resource for Parents

It’s September, and two things are true: the new school year is in full swing, and sadly, antisemitism and bullying remain a troubling reality within the Wake County Public School System (WCPSS).

For many parents with children in grades K–12, understanding and navigating the school system when a bullying or antisemitic incident occurs can be overwhelming and confusing. To address this, members of our professional staff and volunteers from our Jewish Community Relations Council have been working closely with WCPSS to create a toolkit for parents.

This toolkit is designed to help parents raising Jewish children better understand the policies, procedures, and available resources when responding to bullying or antisemitic incidents. It will be housed on the Jewish Federation of Greater Raleigh’s website, and we are coordinating with Jewish organizations across the county to ensure the toolkit is widely shared and linked on their platforms as well.

We hope you share our belief that this will be an important step in helping parents advocate for their children and feel supported throughout the school year.
