JCC Travels: Triangle-Wide University Events

Join us as we travel to Duke University for a lecture by Professor Shari Rabin, College of Charleston: "How Frontier Jews Made American Judaism.” A reception follows the presentation.

About the lecturer: Dr Rabin, is a scholar of American Judaism working in the fields of modern Jewish history and American religious history. She is professor of Jewish Studies and Director of the Pearlstine/Lipov Center for Southern Jewish Culture at the College of Charleston. Her most recent book, “Jews on the Frontier: Religion and Mobility in 19th Century America" was awarded the 2017 National Jewish Book Award in American Jewish Studies.
