"Israeli Pop Culture Meets Israeli Politics"
Pressing political issues in Israel are often interwoven into all Israeli popular culture and are particularly seen through the lens of Israeli music. Professor Eli Sperling received his PH.D in History from Ben Gurion University in Israel. He is the Senior Academic Research Coordinator at Emory University's Institute for the Study of Modern Israel, and is a recent visiting post doc scholar at Duke University.
