"She Wouldn't Take Her Boots Off" - Power of the Purse Part I (SOLD OUT)

  • Beth Meyer Synagogue 504 Newton Road Raleigh, NC, 27615 United States (map)

This program is sold out.

Program Description: Join women from around greater Raleigh for an unforgettable afternoon as we delve into remarkable stories of resilience, creativity, and strength in "She Wouldn’t Take Her Boots Off," the inaugural event of "Power of the Purse."

Victoria Milstein, the sculptor behind the poignant monument, "She Wouldn’t Take Her Boots Off," at NC’s Women’s Memorial Holocaust Monument in Greensboro, NC, will be our keynote speaker. She is an incredible women and dynamic speaker. Victoria will share her profound experience and the powerful connection she forged with Shelly Weiner, the Holocaust survivor and friend, she used as the model for the hands in the sculpture. Guided by Rabbi Jenny Solomon, this discussion will intertwine their narratives with a touching midrash, weaving their stories into the fabric of Judaism.

Don't miss this opportunity to be inspired by the indomitable spirit of these extraordinary women, even in Shelly’s absence, and to celebrate the resilience and contributions of women everywhere. Join us for an afternoon that will resonate with the power and fortitude of the feminine spirit.

The cost of the program includes a light lunch.
