Maimonides Society: Physicians Connecting to Each Other Despite a Culture of Isolation (Rescheduled from December)

Description:  In this time of technologic dependence, productivity pressures and diminished personal contact physicians across the country seem more isolated from one another.  This mirrors what is happening more generally in our society and which appears to be particularly acute among healthcare providers. This seems to be a key factor for physicians, where stress, overwork and lack of balance in life may contribute to burnout, depression, substance abuse and possibly suicide.  The instilled physician culture spawns reluctance to talk about our doubts, mistakes and stresses with each other leaving us feeling very much alone.

How can we best provide connection and support for each other?

Please join us in this discussion facilitated by Chris Mauro, PhD.

Dessert & Coffee will be served.

Generously Hosted at the Home of Drs. Elizabeth & Michael Ross

(Address will be provided after we receive your registration.)
