Global Day of Jewish Learning

  • David R. Kahn Community Campus 12804 Norwood Road Raleigh, NC, 27613 United States (map)

Program Description: Hundreds of communities, large and small from across the globe, join together for one day of Jewish learning, a project of Limmud North America. Held annually since 2010, the Global Day of Jewish Learning is inspired by the vision of educator, scholar, and author Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz z”l.

Synagogues and Temples, JCCs, Federations, Moishe Houses, Hillels and other communal organizations come together to participate in the Global Day of Jewish Learning by joining in study sessions while introducing the beauty, power, and relevance of Jewish texts. Participants learn together both as a group, and in the ancient tradition of chevruta, or study partners, to not only build knowledge and understanding, but to strengthen community—one pair at a time.

This year’s study theme is “The Values We Hold Dear”.

Sessions will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, 2:15-3:15 pm, and 3:30-4:30 pm (session topics to be announced). Sessions will include both in person, and a remote Zoom option as well.

The program is designed for everyone—from novices to those experienced in studying Jewish texts.

Come learn, make new friends, and discover the joy of chevruta learning.
