JCC Speaker Lunch: "Jewish Values in Action: NECHAMA's Work of Repairing the World"

  • David R. Kahn Community Campus 12804 Norwood Road Raleigh, NC, 27613 United States (map)

Program Description: The name, NECHAMA (נחמה) is Hebrew for "comfort" or "consolation." Drawing on compelling examples of NECHAMA's disaster relief work in communities around the world, Scott will demonstrate how our timeless tradition of Tikkun Olam, repairing the world, compels us to help those in need, regardless of ethnic background. Don’t miss this inspiring presentation by Ft Bragg’s Chaplain / Rabbi, Scott Klein.

Rabbi / Chaplain Captain Scott I. Klein, of the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, serves as the Jewish Education and Engagement Consultant at NECHAMA, a Jewish disaster relief organization. With a background in both Jewish communal service and military chaplaincy, Rabbi Klein brings a unique perspective on serving others and living Jewish values in diverse environments.
