Program Description: Imagine a four-part series built like a constellation. Each workshop is distinct, yet all orbit around the same idea: discovering creativity through unexpected forms of touch, texture, and transformation. Join us for all four, just one, or any combination that works for you!
Frottage with Sari-Rose Brown is a process-based exploration of color, texture and layering based on the art technique frottage, or rubbing. We’ll use a range of simple materials to create a dynamic piece that’s fun to make!
Instructor: Sari-Rose Brown has taught art to children at summer camps and enjoys trying new techniques with her kid at home. She believes that we can all learn from each other no matter our ages and carries that energy with her. Her artistic hobbies range from watercolors to punch needle, and she’s particularly inspired by mending and surprising use of materials.
