Program Description: Imagine a four-part series built like a constellation. Each workshop is distinct, yet all orbit around the same idea: discovering creativity through unexpected forms of touch, texture, and transformation. Join us for all four, just one, or any combination that works for you!
Macramé Basics 101 will serve as a hands-on introduction to the art of macramé, focusing on its basic patterns, commonly used materials, and the wide variety of items that can be created using this versatile technique. Participants will learn foundational knots and patterns that form the building blocks of macramé design, while becoming familiar with different types of cords, fibers, and tools used in the craft. The class will also explore creative possibilities, showcasing practical and decorative projects such as wall hangings, plant holders, accessories, and home décor items. By the end of the session, participants will have a clear understanding of macramé fundamentals and the confidence to begin creating their own pieces.
Instructor: Shruti Rathod has always been artsy by nature and a very quick learner, with a deep curiosity for exploring new creative skills.
