Boot Scootin' Seniors Line Dancing

  • David R. Kahn Community Campus 12804 Norwood Road Raleigh, NC, 27613 United States (map)

Program Description: Come join us for a high energy, low impact, one time line dancing class, specifically designed for active older adults. If you love it, we may bring it back for an encore or a series.

Instructor: Jenny McClendon grew up in Raleigh, NC, where she played several sports, primarily softball, cheerleading, and competitive gymnastics. After leaving gymnastics at age 15, she discovered a passion for group fitness and began teaching classes at 17–something she’s continued ever since.

She earned a BS in Physical Education with a minor in Sports Management from UNCW, then worked as a Fitness Trainer and Group Instructor at SAS Institute, where she developed programs and co-authored two fitness manuals. She later completed a Master of Science in Physical Therapy at ECU and has been practicing as a PT since 2000, specializing in women's health, geriatrics, and outpatient orthopedics. She am also a Certified Geriatric Care Professional.

She currently lives in Raleigh with her husband, three grown children, and Golden Retriever, Lacey. In her free time, she enjoys working out, playing tennis, hiking, baking, doing puzzles, attending sporting events, and spending time with family and friends – especially at the beach.
