9:30 – 10am - Joel Meyer, “Antizionism and Antisemitism: Is There a Difference, and Why Does it Matter?”
Rabbi Aaron Herman is a Chabad-Lubavitch educator, author, and curriculum developer known for making complex Jewish thought accessible and relevant, particularly for teens and adult learners. He has held leadership roles including Head of School at the Jewish Academy of Wake County and director of Chabad of Cary, where he led innovative programming and community education. Rabbi Herman has authored widely taught courses and contributed to Jewish learning through teaching, writing, and curriculum design. Currently based in Pittsburgh, he serves in a senior role at Tzohar Seminary, where he integrates Chassidic study with creative expression and personal growth.
Joel Meyer is a UK-born educator and facilitator based in Israel, where he lives with his wife and three daughters. Drawing on his multicultural background and personal connection to issues of identity, Israel, and geopolitics, Meyer focuses on helping people think more clearly in complex and emotionally charged environments. Rather than advocating specific viewpoints, he guides participants to question assumptions, slow down reactions, and engage thoughtfully across differences. His work is especially relevant in educational, leadership, and community settings where nuanced dialogue and critical thinking are essential.
