Program Description: Join us for a joyful community celebration of Sukkot with PJ Library! Families are invited to experience the beauty of the holiday through hands-on activities and crafts connected to the themes of Sukkot. Step inside the sukkah to shake the lulav and etrog, learn their special meaning, and enjoy festive snacks together. This program is designed for families with young children and is a wonderful way to connect with the traditions of Sukkot as a community.

As part of our celebration, there will be a special PJ Library Book Exchange! Families are encouraged to bring PJ Library books they've already enjoyed and would like to pass along. A dedicated table will be set up where you can donate your gently used PJ books and choose new stories to take home. All books must be in good condition so they can be enjoyed by another family.

Program Description: Let’s welcome the year 5786 with a Rosh Hashanah Walk — a special outdoor tour to celebrate the new year and discover the sweet story behind honey! 

Don’t forget to bring a stroller if you need one!

We’ll gather at 10:30 AM at the Welcome Center of the North Carolina Museum of Art, then head to the apiary to explore the world of bees with Bee Downtown. You’ll learn fascinating facts about bees, taste delicious honey, and even make your own beeswax candles.

Let's meet close to the Fountain Plaza, which is described as a "grand stair with amphitheater-like seating that leads down to the civic plaza with its interactive waterfall wall and splash pad."

Feel free to have children (and adults!) wear bathing suits, as well as bring a towel and change of clothes. We will have snacks and popsicles to cool off!

Program Description: All community members are invited to the Jewish Federation of Greater Raleigh’s 2024 Annual Meeting & Board of Trustees Installation featuring Keynote Speaker, Ilana Kaufman, CEO of the Jews of Color Initiative.

Join Ilana Kaufman, CEO of the Jews of Color Initiative, for an inspiring presentation that highlights the founding of JoCI, the critical work done by the nonprofit to advance racial equity, and the historical presence of diverse Jews, dating back to the 1700s. Ilana will also share high-level research data that underscores the racial and cultural diversity within American Jewry, and illuminate how racism impacts Jews of Color. The presentation will close with an empowering invitation to take meaningful action toward creating a more inclusive and just Jewish future.

At the meeting we will come together as a community, discuss our vision for the next year, hear keynote speaker Ilana Kaufman and install our new board.

Program Description: Join us for a pre-Passover celebration at the PJ Bagel Brunch! We will enjoy a meal full of bagels and chametz one last time before Passover starts the following evening. There will be Passover themed crafts and activities available for the little ones. Additionally, a PJ Library Passover story will be read at 11:00.
